This year, keep your Resolution to GET FIT! Download more information! The Billy Casper Wellness Center is offering incentives to help you get or stay fit in 2007. The gym offers wonderful opportunities for group exercise, pool classes, weight training and cardio workout equipment. Need some extra motivation? The Wellness Center offers personal trainers. The Billy Casper Wellness Center is located at 300 East 16th Street (the junction of highways 180 and 90) in Silver City. Hours are Monday - Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Classes offered include:
- Arthritis Class: Focus is on slow, controlled movements working through full range movements of the major joints and muscles.
- Cardio Kickboxing: Combinations, drills, and calisthenics based on martial arts and kickboxing.
- Core-Dination: A solid half hour of concentrated abs and core work using a variety of equipment including stability balls, Pilates rings and bands.
- Pilates: Strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, flexibility, core strength, and balance and creates a more streamline shape.
- Power Pump/Interval: Uses a variety of resistance equipment, circuits, and interval training to create an entire body workout.
- Senior Fit: Low impact movements and resistance training with a variety of resistance equipment designed to improve muscle strength and endurance.
- Step Aerobics: Moderate to high intensity workout incorporating basic steps, combinations, and variations.
- Water Aerobics: Moderate to high intensity movements designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance.
- Winter Warm-up: Variety of moderate intensity aerobic activities with various levels demonstrated for the majority of the exercises, strength/resistance training, with emphasis on improving core strength, balance, diaphragmatic breathing and stretching.
- Yoga: Supports the well-being of the body, mind, and spirit through postures, breath work, relaxation and meditation.
